If you're instead asking if you should claim to be 6 ft 1 in that scenario....yes. Personally I only claim 6 ft 1 despite waking up 6 ft 2 and 1/2 with a low of 6 ft 1 and 3/4....but I just do that to mess with people who think I'm 6 ft 4 due to all the exaggeration crap going on. :)

@Editor Rob: yea I expected probably 6’4.5 at his afternoon/evening and 6’5.25” maybe 6’5 3/8 out of bed if he loses more than normal but Jordan was known to have a very strong core so I don’t believe he lost more than average for someone 6’4/6’5. If you saw the documentaries about the bulls etc and on Jordan when he bulked up to 215-218, he didn’t begin to lift weights until 1990 due to it affecting his jump shot. He was country strong tho before that and always had a very strong core

Hey Rob, I met Lloyd at a con this year (I'd share my photo but don't want it public sorry).
To give you reference: I'm 186.8 straight out of bed, hover around 185-185.5 at home or on a lazy day in general, with 184 being my lowest after a normal day out (work, leisure, etc).
I got my photo with him around 10am-11am. I was wearing boots with a 3.1-3.2 cm heel (very precisely measured, lol). Lloyd was wearing a running shoe of some kind with typical white foam soles, but I can't say for sure how much height they gave him. Definitely 2cm at minimum, to give you an idea.
In the photo I'm standing straight as possible and so is Lloyd, although his head is slightly tilting towards me. My eye level and head is slightly taller than him, maybe 1cm or so. But again, because he was slightly tilting, perhaps we'd be level with each other if he wasn't.
I was surprised because like you I think Lloyd looks a solid 6'1 on screen so I expected him to easily edge me, even with my footwear advantage. I don't consider myself a solid enough 6'1 to confidently claim it either. If you have a public email or something else I can privately send I'd be happy to share the photo.Editor Rob

He also looks a good deal taller than 5'6½ range Audrey Hepburn. Astaire didn't seem to wear lifts, but plenty of famous men did in those days.

Overall, it seems like the average height of Americans is still holding steady in the 5'9-5'9.5 range for men and 5'3.5-5'4 range for women.

I did gymnastics as a kid and many of us quit it around early teenage years. There it was not uncommon to grow a foot after 13. But yeah otherwise pretty rare.

what do you guys think is actually our low height ? i measured myself yesterday after being awake for 8 or 8.5 hours . i was sitting most of the day and then later i was in the supermarket with my brother . we went there with the car so sitting comfortably in the car might have relaxed my spine a little however we were 10-20 minutes in the car max and after we arrived back i was carrying bags home for 10 minutes which stressed my spine so it probably outbalanced the car driving . and i measured myself without sitting around again when i arrived home and i was 175.9cm with the aerosol can method and without busting a gut . but i can fall to 175.7cm after being awake for 15+ hours . i have the feeling that the 175.7 is between my actual low and my extreme low measurement . i dont know if the 175.7 actually qualifies as my low since i only reach it after very hard days and 14-15+ hours being awake

Some people finish growing at 12/13 others can still gain until 22/23 in rare cases, just because someone is 15 doesn't guarantee they'll grow a lot more...but he might who knows ? I’m going to go out on a limb but I think it’s possible ‘Taker could be 6’7” - 6’7.5” today. Here’s my reasoning.
First of all, I believe he was 6’8” at peak. He’s been consistent with claiming that height when he’s out of character and he strikes me as an honest man.
Second, I see more like a 1.5” - 2” difference between him and Donte. ‘Taker has a very large head and a very long forehead. Look here: Click Here
The red mark (probably from his hat) is probably 1”-2” from his eyebrows. If you follow that all the way to the very top of his head, there could be 6”-7” from his eyebrows to the very top of his head. I think this is why he appears shorter than he is because his eye line is so low. That’s why I think Sid appeared taller than ‘Taker at times but wasn’t. Look at the top of their heads. Click Here

But I don’t feel that much taller than general people as in they come up to my eye/eyebrow area. Editor RobThat's reasonable - I'd expect the majority aren't going to bat an eyelid at your 5ft 9 claim, and you could always say 'about' or 'almost'.

And Junior's growth spurt wasnt even early or anything, it had an an excellent timing, even Big Rob himself mentioned he would be surprised if he didnt gain another few inches. At 15 you can easily gain another 10cm+. Junior can reach 6'4 and more at this rate let alone a weak 6'2. Also, keep in mind that photo was taken a couple months ago he might edge out his father now

Editor RobPersonally I just do some 10-15 minute exercise regime at least 5 times a week and that includes basic stretching to limber up, like toe touching, raising arms up above head. Nothing extravagant really.
I believe it has been helping Jenny stabilize her height and not lose any over the last couple of years..

Yeah Kurt’s height is pretty hard to accurately pin down to the nearest 1/4 inch, especially since all photos of him are 30+ years old now, but I would still give him at LEAST 5’9 flat before scoliosis/bad posture, could've even maybe measured like 5’9 1/8th or 5’9 1/4 if he fully stood up straight, but still at least 175cm or so and very little chance he was ever taller than 5’9 1/4 barefoot.
I agree he definitely does look under 5’9 a lot especially in the years leading up to his death, but that can be attributed to very poor posture, scoliosis and not to mention he always wore super worn out chuck taylor’s which wouldn’t be giving him more than like 1/2 an inch at most, which is why I think sometimes he can even look 4 inches shorter than Dave Grohl who isn’t even a full 6ft himself.
