Actually Big Show is only 450 lbs. he mentioned 460 on a promo in Memphis last year before wrestling Hulk Hogan, Even at 7'0" or 7'1", 450 lbs. is obese, for any man. No man should even come close to 500 lbs. no matter how tall you are it's unhealthy.

Thanka Mark, glad to see there is some decent people around here like you and Alex. Since when do men like taker in early 40's loose height anyway? You normally loose height in 50's-60's, well most men i know anyway lol. And yes i cant wait for Big Show to return.

not sure Mark, nash has stood beside numerous tall nba players including david robinson, oliver miller and most notably 7'2ish kareem abdul jabbar and he only looked 4 inches max shorter than him and he certainly didn't look more than 8" or so shorter than 7'6 jorge gonzales. i have also seen nash on tv dwarf 6'3-6'4 listed nfl players and this out of wrestling gear so he is a huge guy. nash played pro and college ball and was listed at 6'10 in both so its not as if we don't know what he would have been listed at in the nba.
a fairer comparison is the photos of nash next to 6'9 listed Miller and the photo of Miller next to 6'11 listed Jermaine O'Neal (Jared Jeffries with glenn is not taller than Jermaine O'Neal) this a far better than comparing two completely different guys to two other completely different guys Click Here

Think height loss people such as Taker + Wight etc can be explained by pooor posture, boots and weight etc. If coming back and has lost weight may give an impression of being taller. Most people especially early in life don't lose 2 inches. The 6'10 photo of basketball player with a 5'8 Glenn sure throws up a few questions. 4 inches is alot man. 4 inches is just shy of what the undertaker was under khali, 4 inches is the difference between Kurt angle and Brock lesnar, its very clearly visable. 4 inches towering.

Guys, 6.8' for Paul Wight is ridiculous - anybody who's seen him in the flesh would testify to that. He has very poor posture, due to his size. He is still very close to 7.0'(probably 6.11') when he actually straightens up.

Yes, Khali is minimum of 7'. Big Show, like Jason says, is 6' 8 at the most. The reason Khali and Big Show look so close in height, is because you all keep overlooking how small of a difference 4" is. I mean, to say that you're 4" inches taller than someone is like saying you're basically identical in height to that person.

First of all, he is a 500 pound man with back and knee problems and he was a wrestler for a dozen years and broke his body. He is NOT, nor is any other wrestler your AVERAGE person. If Hogan never went into wrestling, he would still be a healthy 6'5"+ man today. Kid, you have to learn a thing or two in this world.

I would say Wight was at a prime height of 7'1", and is now at about 6'11.5". When another giant like Khali (7'1" and change IMO) gets in the ring with him, then he really straightens out and you can see he really hasn't lost much height. When he was new in wrestling, his height and size was his gimmick so he would probably care more about appearing taller.

I personally believe he was that full 7'1.5" in the mid 90's. He had at least 3" on the then 6'10" Big Daddy Cool. I think he shrunk to 7'0" even by 1999 and is maybe down to 6'11" nowadays. Something happened to him for sure, as well as Taker and many others.

Topweed, I am an avid bodybuilder. My quads measured 27" when I was full swing into my squats and leg presses. After not having touched weights for 2 years, they were below 23". I have posted numerous pictures to this site of Hogan with longer legs. He has had HOW many knee surgeries and HAS had a hip replacement. His hips look like that of a 12 year old boy when he wears jeans today. C'mon!

I saw the UnderTaker outside the arena in Phoenix on Monday night Raw a few years ago. I am 5'10 and he had at least 9 to 10 inches on me. He looks to be a solid 6'8.

Ghost, what is this proving, by posting a video of a broken down 54 year old Hogan who has been severely vertically compressed. His neck looks SO short. His legs look short and brittle. All he has left are his massive arms. The man WAS almost 3" taller post 1990 and would have matched up a hell of a lot better to that 7'0" UGLY monster at that point. Hogan would be dwarfed by Andre today and he surely was never dwarfed by anyone post 1990.

All I will say is that I believe you when you say the Big Show looked quite shorter than 7' to you. I don't know why he did, but I don't think you're lying. Unfortunately, we may never know for sure since he isn't in the spotlight anymore.

Based on his posture and body alignment with Big Show, i'm saying he's up on his toes. Look at where their waists together. Taker most likely IMO had on work boots which he seemed to wear a lot around that time period (big evil/red devil days); so his workboot could have given him around 1.5-1.75" or so height advantage and not sure what Sylva was wearing but my guess would be Nike's or somehting that would give around .75" height advantage so I'd say Taker had 1" height advanatge over Sylva's footwear and Taker appeard 3" taller or so, so I'd say Taker has Sylvia by definitely 2". Apparently Big Show was also backstage at Survivor Series. His weight is now down to 420 lbs and he's in far better shape than he's ever been in WWE according to himself. Big Show is still training to be a boxer but is unsure if he will ever compete in a match.

Alex, I promise you that Crush (as he was known as in 1990 when he joined the already existing Demolition with Ax and Smash) was given a 6'6"-6'7" listing at that point. Only much later did they boost that to 6'8". Was a HUGE Demolition fan and Powers of Pain. That's when wresting was GREAT.

Mike comes up to the bottom of Bigshows nose in that picture so I can't see how that could be over 10inches from his nose to top of Bigshows head. Haven't heard, read or seen anything about him since July.

Well, Khali has 5 inches on Taker IMO; could be .5-1" more than that but Taker came up to Khali's eyebrow's when standing tall so 5" IMO plus the back of Taker's head is higher/peaked more than the rest; so if Khali is 7'1" then Taker is around 6'8"

Vegas, I've seen those kind of matches before on old VHS tapes. It just goes to show that a once healthy guy like Tracy Smothers (especially in that video) can become what he has become today. Kind of makes it a little easier to believe that men like Hogan, Taker, Andre, Piper, Billy Graham, and so many others have lost a considerable amount of height with the 20-30 years of beatings they've taken, not considering surgery and AGE of course, seeing the average man loses around 1 1/4" anyways by a certain age, by natural causes.

anyways today tracy is barely able to stand for more than a minute or so (he had to sit down and do stretches on his back/legs after signing a few autographs) and he is all hunched over (very similiar to how andre was towards the end)
tracy's current condition really showed me how much damage pro-wrestling can do to the human body!

oh and Vegas, real good Show/Kane pics. Those are much better than them on a ramp, they're actually standing next to each other dead on. Looks like a 4" - 5" difference to me. Whatever Kane's real height is, I think he's around 6'9.5" to 6'10" in his wrestling boots.

I know this isn't too much of a difference, but I use to think Big Show was 6'11" barefoot but the more and more I'm seeing these pics with him and Khali with the line drawn I'm thinking he's an even 7'. I do still think Big Show had advantage in his footwear all throughout his career, but I think it's just to make him look even MORE imposing. Not that Khali is small-framed (LOL..........), but he's not as naturally robust as Big Show and Andre. I know that muscular guys who are small-framed can look ''big'' in a tank top or shirtless, but normal fully clothed.

I didn't think he looked 7'0'', but I couldn't tell for sure. Though I spotted him a number of times, I never got that close to him/ground level & too many people around him a couple times I did. And I had to factor in his shocking posture; he could barely even walk (he needs to get off the juice pronto and get his weight r-i-g-h-t down ... uhh, then he'd lose his job lol). I did notice he had to duck a bit to walk through the hotel reception door when they were all leaving, which suprised me ... next time I'm there I'll check it's height.

mark henry was listed at 6'3 in the olympics, that changes the complexion of alot of stuff if true, do you have links???
Alex; there is 3" between show and nash in that photo from 2002, the difference is more than half wights forehead, 2" there would give wight at max 3.5-4" between his eyeline and the top of his head.

Show didn't have huge lifts against Khali. He may have had 1/2 inch advantage but no more and with that it was only about an inch difference or maybe less.

Vegas, Khali is an enormous man, so all the clothes he wears are probablyt tight to the bone, and that is why he appears leaner and meaner in street clothes, I know what Jason means there. Of course when he isngt wearing a shirt you see just how huge he is, his arms are 3 or 4 times bigger than a 200 pound mans...scary.

let,s say show wore 2 inch lifts ,and he appeared 3 inches taller than 6'10" nash,that would still place show an inch taller than nash barefoot at 6'11"if you take away the 2 inches,much like we see with show barefoot and akebono barefoot,show still appeared to be at least 6'11".

i know we shouldn't keep bringing up jason but one of his comments has totally baffled me; he said when he went to the wwe show back in july khali looked huge (as in muscle-wise huge in the ring) but when he met him in streets an hour or two later he looked much smaller?? this i do not understand, does khali have some sort of machine in the back to pump up his muscles, lol, how can he look smaller in person than in the ring??

Sumo is an ancient sport dating back hundreds of years, its more a way of life than a sport to be honest, honestly i can't see them overbilling their wrestlers, especially not 3-4", thus diluting the tradition (what would be the motivation for something like that)

I don't think American athletes really exaggerate their heights except for pro-wrestlers, who aren't real athletes. But I do think most American athlete give their stats based on how they look in a game. For example, my dad told me when he play football, they gave his stats when he wore kleets and his equipment (height and weight) because that's how his stats were during the game. Makes sense. Sumos on the other hand go at it barefooted with less clothing than you would wear in normal public.
I have a friend who is a student of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, trained by Ryan Gracie. I am assumed he has met Royce before. My friend would know if he is 5' 11 or not because my friend is 5' 11 himself. I doubt Royce would exaggerate his height to 6' 1 since the entire promotion of Gracie Jiu_Jitsu was that size, strength and age didn't matter in a real fight as long as you knew GJJ. In fact, that's why Royce was chosen to represent GJJ in the UFC, because he was small statured. It would be counter productive to GJJ to exaggerate his size. Next time I see him, I'll ask him if he has ever met Royce and if Royce was any taller than he was.
