Rob, it's time for a height upgrade for Hogan. He's looking at least 6'9" barefoot here with an older 5'7 1/2" Freddy Blassie who was 5'9" peak barefoot. Hogan isn't even at his peak height as wrestling, squats, leg presses, deadlifts, calf raises, etc have already taken some toll on his height. Freddy clearly has the footwear advantage as well.

Hogan at certain times gave the impression of a 7 footer as well.
If you told anyone in the audience that Hogan was 7 foot tall in his boots, no one would be surprised at the MTV Video Music Awards when seeing him tower nearly 2 feet above Cyndi Lauper.
Young Hogan was so freakishly tall that the camera operator couldn't even get his head in the shot. Hogan's freakish height would have required the camera operator actually change lenses and get a wider angle lens on his camera to get both Cyndi Lauper and Hogan's faces in the shot at the same time.

If tiny lister was 6'5 then hogan would struggle being 6'6 when lister was zeus he wore huge boots so id say hogan was 6'6 in wrestling boots and zeus 6'7 barefoot both around 6'5 that was 1989

Hulks 6’3” now. 6’6” out of bed and 6’5” plus during the day peak. Simple.
ChaosControl 6'2.50 said on 6/Jul/21
Hogan looks 6’2.5 with him, the bottom of the nose is where 174 guys come up to on me, but given Hogan could have a bigger head I can see max 6’3, probably 6’2.75. Regardless 6’4+ is a distant pipe dream for Hogan

I finally found the X-Ray of Hulk Hogan's curved spine again. This was posted on some news site when Hogan sued some spine institute or something.
This clearly shows that LEG DROPS DO CURVE SPINES AND CAUSE HEIGHT LOSS. I have also talked too my chiropractor about this many times.
He says Hogan lost an incredibly small fraction of an inch of height with every leg drop and it accelerated the older he got. This is why Hogan's peak height was between August 1974 and August 1977. When talking about Hogan's peak height, ONLY THIS TIME PERIOD should be used.
Using any time period after this is NOT Hogan's true peak height.

Here is a picture just posted of Chris Jericho with Tom Brady. Side by side full length pic showing equal posture and a slight footwear advantage to Chris. Rob has Jericho at 5’9.5” and Brady just over 6’4”. I am also re-posting with this my pic with Hogan where his knees are bent lowering him an inch, Jericho being an inch taller than me would have come up to the same point on Hogan’s larger head which means Hogan was at this point well over 6’4” with his knees bent.

Choose a pic where the guy isn’t favored with Brady. That explains why the difference looks the way it does. Brady is taller next to Him than Hogan is next to you. That’s not the same Ronster. As far as usual gang, Viper said it best. Nobody takes anything you say seriously which is why Rob banned you previously
RONSTER said on 2/Jul/21
Hi, here is another pic since now I know the usual gang with get together and day I must be 5’4” or something equally rediculous showing Hogan with Jericho in recent years take away Chris’s spiked hair and you have Hogan not even standing tall towering over Chris by the exact same amount as Brady!
This must be what you mean by rediculous posts right?? Lol

@RP: yea to be fair Viper is right that he has been listed 6’6” at times. The old Bulls Teams listed the following (on 2nd 3 peat)
Luc longley 7’2, Dennis Rodman 6’8 Scottie Pippen 6’7 MJ 6’6 Rob Harper 6’6

Then later Longley stayed the same Rodman 6’6 Pippen Jordan and Harper were the same as listed before.

Rodman to my knowledge was never listed 6’7 on the Bulls but he has that listing in other places. I agree with most of what you said though. Peak Rodman was probably for CH standards a 6’6.5 guy maybe 6’6 3/8”. He was probably pushing 6’7.5 in his sneaks assuming 1”

Canson lol amazing. Id get listed 6'2 I'm sure. I clear 6'1 in footwear then rounded up
Canson said on 30/Jun/21
@Alex: the most he is is 6’0” flat. I would’ve guessed weak 6’0” though. Yes on his college team he was listed 6’2”. He was listed 6’2 in college and 6’3” at points in high school, 6’2” at other points. He used to claim 6’1” and I would crack up. I was billed 6’5 in high school even when I was 6’3 and change my sophomore year. I believe I hit 6’4 my junior year. They bumped me to 6’6” or billed me 6’6 on recruiting paperwork. I was listed 6’5 though through most of my senior year. when my teammate was making a point about how dominant he was it would be 6 feet. I could give him 6’ and even if not, 6’0” is fair for his claim if he did. But not surprising because I’ve mentioned a college teammate of mine who was always listed 6’7” in high school then into college. At one point it may have been 6’8”. Then back to 6’7”. The guy is a weak 6’6” and was roommates with me and my 6’7 friend I’ve mentioned in college and he’s almost directly in between the two of us. He’s stood next to my 6’6 friend and he’s a tad shorter. It’s about a cm between them at most and maybe a cm between he and my 6’5 and change friend. He still claims 6’7” today and inflates everyone else when he comes to visit. We call him on it and then it becomes well I claim my shoes and I’m really 6’6”. So at least he knows and to be fair, he may get the early AM appt and get 6’6 and a hair but not enough for 6’7”. He may wake up to around 6’6.5 but wouldn’t be near it at the doctor even after an hour. But I also had a friend who played football on our varsity team and he was listed 6’4” at times 6’3 at times and 6’2”. He’s 6’1” by his own admission barefoot and he has always looked it. He was billed 6’4” in the papers pretty often

I’m 45 years old and was a sports fanatic from 1984 through about 2010 (when it started becoming political BS) I also played major college football 1994-1997 @ West Virginia University. And then went on to play a couple of years of Arena League Football...so, I know what I’m talking about.. and I have never EVER seen Dennis Rodman listed any less than 6’7” on any type of roster. And I challenge anyone to provide proof that he was. 80% of the time the NBA listed him at 6’8”...because he was 6’6.75” to 6.6.5” barefoot & 6’7.75” to right at 6’8” in his basketball sneakers. Which was how the NBA typically would list all its players (sneaker height) with a few exceptions through the years.
aphonix said on 30/Jun/21
I don’t believe for a minute hogan was ever 6’6”. In his PRIME he didn’t clear 6’5”. Look at him with Rick flair. There something like a four or five inch difference even with the big boots. Nope.

Also back surgeries (speaking as someone who has had 2) decompress. If anything they return a fraction of height. I don’t see it. WWE/f over listed him by 3-4 inches easily.

Canson said on 29/Jun/21
@Viper: Rodman was listed 6’8” when he first came In the league and 6’7” other times. He was occasionally listed 6’6 with the Bulls after he admitted he was that short. I think they rounded down tho as I don’t see him as just a solid 6’6 peak. He may have been 6’6.25 at his normal low or 6’6.25.-5
Canson said on 29/Jun/21
@Alex 6’0: they do all sorts of things. One of my teammates in high school was listed 6’3 then he went and played college ball and was listed 6’2”. He is lucky if he’s 6’1” in shoes in the afternoon. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s 5’11.5 honestly. I’ve seen him since we’ve graduated high school.

He was listed at 6-6

Undertaker was nowhere close to 6-9
Alex 6'0 said on 28/Jun/21
Canson, high school and college lists in sneakers then rounded up or down right?
Easyrider said on 28/Jun/21
Hulk Hogan was probably about 6'5-6'6 in his Prime. But with him getting bumps and back surgeries over time, I think he's shrunk to about 6'2 & 1/2 to a little over 6'3 upon getting up in the morning. He looks A Lot Shorter since about 1993 Onward. Undertaker is a legitimate 6-9 at his Peak in 1991 and he looked to be about three to four inches taller than Hogan during their match up in 1991. And Taker very seldom looks up or tries to straighten himself up all the way usually, too. Dennis Rodman, who I always saw as 6'8 in his Peak Height, was about three to four inches taller than Hogan, during Hogan's 1995-1998 NWO run. So... Peak Hogan, I'm guessing was about 6'5-6'6 or so, depending on the time of day.
Canson said on 28/Jun/21
@RP: yea his features are bigger in person I’m sure. I’ve never met him but I will say that it sounds consistent. But keep in mind that we are talking about a guy who was 6’5+ more than likely in his prime. Therefore, his features aside from the areas that have been affected from surgery and curvature/shrinkage, will all still be in line with those of a 6’5 range guy maybe even 6’6 guy to some while only being 6’3 today
Dr Decker said on 28/Jun/21
I saw him in MSG in the 87 iirc. Watching a game. He stood with a lot of ballers. Bird was there and looked a lot taller. I’d put him at 6.5-5 peak prime
Canson said on 27/Jun/21
@Chaos: I used to get listed 6’5 when I played in high school. Maybe once or twice 6’6’x then In college 6’6”. Maybe a game or two 6’5
Canson said on 27/Jun/21
@Viper: to be fair, Alan32080 met hogan a couple times. First time he said he believed Hogan was 6’4 when he stood straight. But that was years ago. Then he met him again and said around 6’3.5”. Alan also used more of an average height and not an afternoon so when I mentioned 6’3.25 he said that’s a good possibility being Alan dips to 6’2.67. He’s surely not 6’4 or 6’5 and likely wasn’t when he met him from what he said in his post. Wouldn’t surprise me if Hogan was 6’3.5-.75 when he met him the first time since it was earlier in the day
RP said on 27/Jun/21
Almost everyone who meets “Terry” Hulk Hogan for the first time in person, all say the same thing. That “in-person” his features are bigger than they expected (head, hands, feet, arm length...etc) even those who met him in his prime (1980-1990) all say he was actually bigger & thicker in person, than what he looked on TV & in pictures. Not taller!!!...but bigger & thicker. They always say “he was slightly shorter than I expected, but standing next to him he was bigger & thicker than what he looks in pictures & on TV.

In 2002 the famous Rock Hogan faceoff. Hogan looked an inch taller maybe slightly less. If we have Rock 6'2.5 then Hogan was 6'3.5 max in 2002.
Alex 6'0 said on 26/Jun/21
Chaos we can definitely x out 6'6 peak but he still could be 6'5.5. 6'5.5 to 6'3 or slightly less still a good 2.5 inch loss. Also in 2002 looked barely taller than 6'2.5 max Rock

viper said on 25/Jun/21
Hogan is built different with a big head no doubt.

And yet, he looks no taller than 6-3 even with good posture, no knees bent.

Ronster, RP has seen Hogan more than you and says he's 6-3 1/4 at most. Rob has him at 6-3.

We can't take your word on your height because of your past posts which are a bit cartoonish to put it nicely.

And you say with his knees unbent he's
6-4-6-5?

Rob has never underlisted anyone like that.

RP, good estimate. He was looking right around 6’3” with his knees bent, so please keep that in mind. IMO and from seeing him up close then he hit over 6’4” if he stood straight. I would have to meet him again now to see how much he has lost since then. Also, Chaos you should keep in mind that Hogan is built very different from yourself and most tall people I am sure, he has a massive frame and head. I will look for and post soon a picture of me next to my 6’2” son, I am up to his eyes, but he has a very large head also.
Canson said on 24/Jun/21
@Chaos: it’s hard to take him seriously. He always estimates over what the actual difference is. He mentioned his son being listed 6’0” in his sport but is really 6’2? It’s the opposite. I played college basketball and was listed 6’6” and everyone else on my team was given minimum an inch or at least 3/4”. No one is listed shorter. He likely is what he claims but isn’t a good estimator or height

@Viper: I don’t want to sound mean but I agree with what you said to him.

At Ronster. Great pics of you & Terry. I’ve studied over both photos, and IMO it shows that Terry was EXACTLY 7” inches taller than you in 2014. Giving us this: Ronster: 5’8.25” & Hulk Hogan: 6’3.25” in 2014.
ChaosControl 6'2.50 said on 23/Jun/21

Click on the links, these are 2 pictures at a show in Montreal from 2014. I am with Terry in each photo, and I stand just over 5'8" barefoot (174cm). First notice how in the one picture I am up to the bridge of his nose, but he is leaning over, hunching with his knees bent a lot. In the second picture we are posing so he straightened up his upper body more but still had his knees bent like in the first picture. Lastly, I have a large body and head for a shorter man, I weighed at the time around 203Lbs with 18" arms. Hogan's arms at 61 years old dwarfed mine, easily 20+ inches still and he was at least 280-290 lbs. His head was way taller and bigger than mine, my head is just over 9" tall so his is at least 10-11 inches just by looking at this picture. That means he had with his knees bent badly 7-8" on me at the very least, with his knees straight he easily would be 2 inches taller. Do the math and that puts a 61 year old Hogan at 6'4-5" tall barefoot. A few tall guys (6'3" range) there wanted to take pictures with him, stood on their toes and still were shorter LOL.

Hi Rob,

What would it take to get Hogan below 6’3” current height?

Based on his pics from Wrestlemania this year with Kevin Nash, he is looking 6’2” range. 6’2.5” (same as Dwayne Johnson) would be a good callout IMO.

Also it seems that a majority of folks here have him below 6’6” at peak. Is there a slight chance he can be changed to 6’5 1/2” or 6’5 3/4”?

Canson said on 13/Jun/21
@RP: yea I agree with Chaos. He definitely was not 6’6” afternoon or lunchtime. But I don’t rule out 6’5.5 just yet or 6’5 3/8” but I’d lean more toward the standard of 6’6 out of bed and 6’5.25 afternoon/evening 6’5 extreme low. In the end, I think 6’5.5” is a fair compromise for his listing here since we are unsure as to when he began to lose it. Then he would only be 1/4” over his low or 1/8” over his lunchtime
Alex 6'0 said on 11/Jun/21
Hogan at 6'5.5 would be a fair listing.

@Chaos: I agree 100% on Andre. He’s long overdue. Hogan needs minimum 1/2” if not 3/4” to 6’5.25”. Both are over listed
RP said on 7/Jun/21
Chaos 6’2.5 is right! Peak Hogan’s (afternoon standards) barefoot height was 6’5.25” to maybe even 6’5” flat. Andre was 6’11” barefoot & 7’0.25” (214 CM) with shoes on. Which he’s admitted before in an early 1970’s shoot interview “my real height is 214 CMs” Andre was a fraction over 7’1” in his custom made size 22 cowboys with a 2.375” heel. Also, Paul Wight’s peak needs down grading to 6’11.5”...which was his true barefoot (peak) height & he was just a hair under 7’1” in basketball sneakers. There is two tons of evidence that supports all of this!! Rob, what are you waiting for?

Peak Hogan: 6’5.25”...I could even accept 6’5.5” to compromise.
Andre: 6’11”
Peak Paul Wight: 6’11.5”...current Paul Wight: 6’9.75”

I agree with Hogan’s current of 6’3” flat. He’s 6’3” still when he actually displays perfect posture.
Chaos 6'2.5 said on 6/Jun/21
Hogan and Andre both need a full inch downgrade. Sex Lies and Headlocks says of Hogan “a six foot five gentle giant of a man with twenty-two inch arms and a comic book cleft chin” and of Andre it says “Andre was six-eleven, though advertised as high as seven-foot-five”. It’s a good read too

Andre's big boots were measured at 1.8'' . Hogan's boots were shorter so how the hell they are over 2'' ? These guys had cowboys boots on , not women high heels ... check your eyes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those boots being auctioned supposedly belonged to Andre but I’ve never seen him wear any with heels that small. These are his cowboy boots next to those of Bill Watts from October 1983 Click Here Click Here or the same month he was photographed in dark brown cowboy boots with Arnold and Wilt Chamberlain during the Conan filming. Watts said he wore a size 13 boot, or probably around Hogan's size. Those aren't 1.8 inch heels - 2.8 inches is more likely.

@Undertaker Frank: hogan also has poor posture. I don’t rule out maybe 6’2.75 today but I can see the argument for 6’3” still. His peak was overstated though. He was never more than about 6’5.25” or so. I can see a 6’5.5 listing since it would be a couple hours or so out of bed. 2-4 but not 6’6”. I see 6’6 out of bed in his prime. By Rob’s standards that would mean 6’5 3/8 maybe and by mine 6’5.25” since I claim my afternoon height as opposed to lunch. I used to list myself as lunch tho when I claimed 6’4 3/8 before

In his cowboy boots mid-80's peak Hulk was probably walking around at 6'7.5 range if he was a touch over 6'5 barefoot. I'm guessing his cowboys were in the 2/2.25 inch range, they certainly weren't anywhere near as big as Andre's whoppers.

College or university listings are not very reliable at all, and are quite often way under the persons height. My son who is 6’2” played university football, and they had him listed at 6’ every year and 30-40 lbs lighter than his actual weight.

So most of these athletes have aspirations about playing professional sports. Why would they under bill them and potentially undercut their chances at a career and a future? And if you look closely enough at college sports, when someone is measured at the combine, they are almost always shorter (barefoot) and many times even in shoes than their billed height in college, which is in shoes. Very rarely are they under listed.

RP please provide proof of your claims otherwise it will be treated as heresay.

Kane wore 2-2.5 inch platforms in late 90. You are saying he also wore internal lifts..how did he not break an ankle?

If your claims are correct we need to drop a bunch by an inch
Studd in wrestling boots was at most an inch taller than 6'4.5-6'5 Fralic so he would need to drop to 6'5 max if wearing internal lifts.

Orton in wrestling boots is about 6'5, shorter than ~6'4 barefoot McIntyre (who is about 6'5.5 in his gear). McIntyre himself looked 2.5 inches shorter than Strowman in boots past Monday. Strowman stands ~6'8 in wrestling gear, we know this because we have back to back comparison with 6'10 3/4 measured NBA player

Sid was at least 2 inches shorter than Nash in wrestling gear and not huge amount taller than Luger. Lister was about 6'6.5 in his doc Martin type footwear. You saying he was only 6'4 barefoot?

Rollins looks his height barefoot ie his wrestling boots give about 1-1.25 inches over barefoot. Batista was towered by Khali in his gear. If he was wearing internal lifts he was struggling with 6'2 barefoot

Big Show we saw with Akebono the height difference between gear and barefoot wasn't significant. His wrestling boots gave between 1-1.5 inches depending. No evidence he wore lifts. We have barefoot photo of him circa 95 where he looks taller next to Hogan and Savage than on TV lol, Savage looking under 6ft there Click Here

@184guy and RP: RP’s estimates are very good! I’ll split it for Taker and say 6’7” flat perhaps but I don’t rule out 6’7.25”. I doubt he was under a flat 6’7” peak. He was probably 6’8 out of bed in his prime and could’ve gotten close to 6’9” in shoes in the first 2-3 hours even closer out of bed. Kane may have been slightly taller. My opinions are below.

Peak (legit) afternoon barefoot heights
Hogan 6’5.25” agreed
Undertaker 6’6.75” id say 6’7” flat or a hair over
Sid Eudy 6’6.25 agreed
Big John Studd 6’6.5” not sure verdict is out
Hillbilly Jim 6’5” verdict out
Scott Hall 6’5” looks good
Kevin Nash 6’9.25 looks about right
Andre The Giant 6’11.5” I’d say 6’11 tops maybe even under the mark
Big Show 6’11.5” I’d say 6’11
Kane 6’7.5” agreed maybe 1/4” less but 6’7.25 minimum
Uncle Elmer 6’7.5” not sure
Flair 5’11.5” agreed
Savage 6’0.5” maybe but I see 184guy’s argument for 6’0
Piper 6’1” probably accurate
Ernie Ladd 6’8.5” not sure
King Kong Bundy 6’3” not sure
Vince McMahon 6’1” looks good

@Editor Rob: I agree with RP. Being Sid was 6’6.25 peak height, there is no way Hogan was just 1/4” shorter. That can look like an afternoon height for Sid perhaps but to be consistent, Hogan is at least 1/2-1” shorter. More like an inch and to tell you the truth I see 3cm in some pics. That means 6’5 but maybe post height loss or maybe he was just 6’5.25 peak. That said, 6’5.5” would be the fair trade off. That’s the most and I don’t rule out a peak 6’5.25”. He also looked 1.5-2” shorter than Taker who is listed 6’7.25”. It’s possible he was that height in the late 70s and shrunk to 6’5 (if he already wasn’t closer to it to begin with) by the 80s then 6’4 by the early 90s. Remember Tiny Lister also said they were the same height.

But, most people agree on here that Hulkster was probably (and even looked) 1/4” if not a 1/2” taller from (1978-1982) time frame. Could simply have been his footwear though.

In the photos I've seen, there aren't many out yet, Hulk looked 6'2.75/6'3 range, about 5'5.5/5'5'75 shorter than Nash, who is still 6'8.5+ range. Hulk looked like he could stretch a bit more out of his knees but until we hopefully see him with more WWE people over Wrestlemania weekend it's hard to know.

Wish we could've seen a pic of him and Hall both standing properly next to each other, as Hall is about 6'4 flat these days.

@Sean R: even if Rob goes under with just the evidence here, it will be to what you said worst case. Maybe even just 6’5.75”. I can’t see any lower without more concrete proof. 6’5.5 or .75 is justifiable by 3 things:

1. Hulk Hogan’s pictures with Trump (although not concrete, it’s definitely not 4” between them) 6’5.5 is a good shout
2. Hogan’s pics with Taker (Taker is clearly at least 1.5” taller maybe 2”). Even going minimum that’s 6’5.75 being Taker is listed 6’7.25 and the catch all is 6’5.5” based on that.
3. With Sid it’s clear who is taller. While it looks an inch pretty easily, we can decipher minimum 1/2” or more precisely 3/4”.

That said 6’5.5” is a fair peak listing and probably the catch all for everyone here. Some do believe he’s 6’6 peak some 6’5”. If we go with 6’5.5” it’s (imho) maybe within 1/4” of his afternoon peak height. I have 6’5.25” but 6’5.5” is possible but no higher. I’d actually say the lower of the two is more likely or maybe within mm of it on either end. If Rob went with 6’5.75” and the consensus is 6’5.5” it’s just a measurement 2-4 hours out of bed. While 6’5” flat may be believable to some, it’s clear 6’6 is too high for him as he almost never looks it. Tiny Lister also pegged him as 6’5”. So to be fair the difference may lie in between

2014 when I met him he was definitely no less than 6’3. Stood with me he looked 6’3.5.
You can see how much height he’d lost, his hips were out to one side and knees bent. I was surprised how big and bulky he was.

Looking at photos of the 2020/21 Hall of fame Hogan looks to have lost even more height.
Be interesting to see how he looks when all the photos from the weekend come out.

Hogan at 6’6 peak lol he looked 6’5 at peak nowadays he looks 6’2 in a half he was 6’3 probably in the 2000s.
Canson said on 19/Mar/21
@Chaos Control: yea he’s definitely overlisted. I remember some posters who were previously here before being Banned that used the excuse of someone being in a certain range for the day or that they would measure it at some point during the day and calling it valid. IMHO since height is measured standing it should be your afternoon height being you only measure taller due to laying down. As for Hogan the only way he measures 6’6” in his prime is if it’s right out of bed imho. 6’5.25 could be more like it for afternoon. He may have even been just 6’5.75 if he measured 6’5” flat in the afternoon
Chaos Control 6'2.5 said on 16/Mar/21
Hogan was just 6’5 flat. Maybe 6’5.25 but I honestly think he’s way overlisted. Andre was probably 6’11 over 7’ but considering how tall and heavy he was I’m giving his daily shrinkage the benefit of the doubt

Hi Rob,

I know these 2 have been requested in the past but is there a chance to put Rick Rude and Curt Hennig (Mr Perfect) on celebheights?

I have Rude at 6’3.5” and Hennig at 6’2” (maybe 6’1 3/4”). Although Rude looked 2 inches taller than 6’2” Sting and 6’2” Road Warrior Hawk he may have had something in his boots.

Rick Rude stated in a Japanese wrestling magazine he was 6-3 and Hogan was 2” taller at 6-5 but the WWF needed to inflate it to 6-8 as Vince thought it was a better selling point.
Canson said on 3/Mar/21
I doubt Hogan is much under his listed height today. If anything maybe 6’2.75 but I lean more toward him being slightly over 6’3 still than under. His peak was maybe half inch lower than listed and would be 6’6 out of bed or maybe a hair over
Canson said on 3/Mar/21
@Danimal: assuming Ali’s afternoon height was 6’2.5, I’d give Hogan 6’5.5”. That’s how he looked with Sid too as well as Taker (6’5.25-.5 range). But I disagree. A current Hogan would still edge a peak Ali

I met him several times backstage in the 80's and at a few events in the 90's. He's was all of 6'6" in street clothes. He turned his back to me and I was looking at the base of his neck between the traps and I'm (was) 6' tall. He was full head over just about every normal person. In comparison I've met Ric Flair several times and he was around my height looking him right in the eye walking next to him and talking.
Covvvid1984. said on 1/Mar/21
The more I watch him in matches the more I see 6-5 peak.
Chaos Control 6'2.5 said on 27/Feb/21
He’s described in the book Sex Lies and Headlocks as “a six-foot five gentle giant with twenty two inch arms and a comic book cleft chin”. Just for this I’m guessing 6’5, I really haven’t seen that much 80s-era wrestling
Danimal 176.7 said on 26/Feb/21
This is Hogan taking to Stone Cold Steven Austin in 2019 about all of the surgeries he has had. And it was confirmed that he WAS shorter between when he left WCW in 2000 and when he re-appeared in WWE to fight the Rock in early 2002 (he said he had hip replacement before the match). Anyway, here is the snippet of Hogan (under his real name Terry in the interview) telling Steve Austin exactly the surgeries he had (and how they cut away so much bone and fused the rest....hence the severe height loss): Click Here

@Rampage: I saw the episode of Walker Texas Ranger when he and Sting were on last night. Season 9. It will play again in a few months as 6 episodes a night air on Charge in chronological order. Mind you this was close to 21 years ago but Hulk was definitely not less than 6’3 then maybe still 6’3.5 next to Chuck Norris when they stood side by side in the gym. As far as his peak that’s possible. I def say he wasn’t under 6’5”. I’d estimate him in between 5 and 6
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 24/Feb/21
I think in all honestly barefoot in prime condition...he was probably closer to 6ft6 than 6ft5
Canson said on 23/Feb/21
@Danimal: I doubt he’s as low as 6’1 3/4” today. I could buy 6’2.75” for him but could also buy 6’3.25” at times. He can look his listed height of 6’3” if he stands straight.

@Covvvid1984: overrated to an existent but not the most. A 6’5” range guy (at his peak) claiming 6’7” isn’t that unforeseen or abnormal. Lots of basketball players do it. Specially 6’5 and change which Hogan likely was

Not buying over 6-6 peak. 6.5.5 is closer to the truth imo.
miko said on 6/Feb/21
He first started looking a tad shorter around his early WCW days in 1994/1995 he looked more 6'4.75/6'5 than say 6'5/6'5.25.

If he lost any height before that I'd be surprised, although you can't rule out him having lost a tiny fraction.

I think injuries and steroid usage started to really catch up with him after that and he looked to be down to 6'4/6'4.25 range by the end of the WCW days in 2000/2001.

In his 2002 WWE comeback he tended to look about 6'4 when he stood straight, but with his posture and knees bent he could seem under that at times.

His height over the last 15 years has been up and down, but he's still quite clearly in the 6'3 range when he stands decent. He didn't look THAT much shorter than 6'4.5 Drew McIntyre in a staredown and backstage segment.
John Gentry said on 6/Feb/21
6ft6.25 barefoot in the late 1970s. Maybe 6ft6.5 out of bed. So many people here focus on Hogan in the prime of his career in the mid 1980s. Hulk already wrestled and slammed Andre in 1979 in Shea Stadium. Hulk already had wear and tear and suffered from scoliosis. Referencing pictures from 1985 does not give us Hulk’s peak height.
Leon11 said on 5/Feb/21
He was never 6'6 at his peak. At MOST he was 6'5.5. But i think he was little over 6'5 at his peak, and 6'2.5 right now.
Canson said on 3/Feb/21
@Chaos Control: that’s still a possibility. I would lean more toward 6’5.5 being the upper and 6’5 the lower end. I would rule out sub 6’5 and over 6’5.5

@RJT: I think the angle of the camera is a factor. I would’ve thought Hogan was taller all things considered. If the Rock was ever 6’3, it was just that. Never over. My guess is he was just under afternoon. 6’2.75 but 6’3 possible. As for Hogan his posture wasn’t as good as Rock

@ Big Ed...from ‘77-‘87 His billed height constantly went back & forth between 6’7” & 6’8”...for no rhyme or reason. Around 1988 they (WWF) finely settled on 6’7” for good. Which carried into the WCW.

If Sid was 6'6 then Hulk never saw 6'5 IMO. If Hulk lost any height by 1990 aged 37 it was minimal.

There was no reliable pic of them when Hogan was in his peak. But Hogan losing height in the 80s is possible. He looks like he could’ve been 6’5.5 peak perhaps best case

@Rising: yea I can see anywhere from 6’5-6’5.5” range. 6’5.25-.5 probably more specifically

Hogan was 6’7” like he claimed, but with his shoes on.

6’’6” listing here is probably late morning, early afternoon.

I know there is a clip with Hogan on the Johnny Carson show in 1982 and he looks 3 inches taller than 6’3”’ Ed McMahon there. But Hogan has cowboy boots on giving him the footwear advantage.

Hogan at peak was either 6’5.5” or 6’5 3/4”

@Harry Sachs: Hogan wasn’t at his peak height in the 90s. But in the 90s I can see 6’4”. While I don’t see 6’6”, I could see peak 6’5 range. 6’6 Out of bed is possible or 6’5.75. Comparing him to Sid would mean you’d need a shot of Hogan in his prime with Prime Sid which is rare being Sid is 7 years younger.

@Jay P: fair estimate. I doubt as high as 6’3.5 in the afternoon now a days but maybe 6’3.25”. I also don’t see below 6’2.75. A finer range may be 6’3-6’3.25 or 6’2.75-6’3 or 6’2.75-6’3.25 for a wider range. I will say that I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t come down to 6’3 flat but wouldn’t be surprised if he went below the mark being how bad his posture is. Out of bed imho 6’3.5-6’4 though

Hard t call he's exact height was taller than jake Roberts who most agree was 6'5 range looked in an around same height as tenta looked at least 1.5" shorter than sid maybe 2" so it is strange think in the 80s was 6'6 looked about 6'5.5" against warrior wm6 if he was 6'2. Looks about 6'5 against sid wm8 if he was close t 6'7. I believe andre was about 6'11.5" at wm3 and was about 5.5" taller than Hogan andre lost height i do believe he's peak a shade over 7ft but again very hard to call he's height he never stood up straight even in the 70s andre was hunched so hogan peak I'd say close to 6'6 nowadays down around 6'3 maybe shorter looked slightly taller about an inch or so taller than rock wm18 so close to 6'4 2002 looked a shade taller than Brock lesnar a few years ago he's around 6'2

I know what some people will type. But I saw a picture of Hulk Hogan and some other guy who said he was 6'6 and they were the same height. Then clearly the other guy wasn't 6'6.

Besides frequently wearing cowboy boots, I suspect he had lifts in some of the other footwear he wore back in the day. It makes sense as it helped to enhance the larger than life aura he had going.
